Keeping Your Kitchen Odour-Free
The kitchen is the place where meals are prepared and because of this, it's very difficult to avoid bad odors from creeping into your kitchen. But, it might have been okay if the onion as well as other food smells may be gone once you are done cooking. However, this may not always happen since odours can stay for a long time. You may have a vent in place to get rid of the smell but sometimes even this does not do the trick. For this reason, you should learn the methods which will effectively remove odors out of your kitchen.
Remember what the doctor states about prevention being the better alternative, because this applies to kitchens too. Instead of dealing with the smell when it is there, you need to prevent it through regular cleaning. It's advisable to take a look within each cabinet or food storage unit which you have to be able to discover anything that produces a bad smell. With all the things you have in your thoughts, it's possible you have forgotten some items that have gone past their expiration dates. Use a damp cloth to wipe the cabinets to rid it of foul stains.
Without being told, you should know how necessary clean and dry floors are. Being dry, you do not have to worry about slips and being clean implies less chances of odours. It is usual for kitchens for having dirty floors due to unavoidable food spills. If cooking oil is spilled though, use a paper towel and then a wet cloth to wipe it. When you're satisfied with the floor’s cleanliness, look at the trash bin and empty it. Failure to empty trash cans is another major source of foul odour.
Odours easily stick to things made from cloth like draperies within the kitchen. Due to this, it's important that you wash these items frequently using enough detergent. The better solution however is to limit these things in your kitchen. Redesign the interior, if necessary, and have a lesser number of curtains draped throughout your windows. Opt for the innovative and minimalist ones instead.
Splatters might not be very visible when made, but only after a couple of minutes you should notice the stains on items near the cook top. In many kitchens, these stains happen to be the cause of an undesirable smell as well. The best that you can do is to take away the stain every time you are done with cooking. If you ever let it stay a little longer, these stains will be much difficult to take out. In getting rid of these, concentrate on the work top, the cook top and its cover.
Having deodorizer in the kitchen is also strongly recommended. You should, however, use those that are made for kitchens only. These are normally mild enough and have scents which do not have any effect on the food. However, you can still be safer if you place the deodorizer far from the cooking area. You should not rely entirely on the use of a deodorizer in your kitchen though. It is best when your kitchen is clean and rid of any particularly strong odours.

Kitchen Trash Can?
When you take a full garbage bag out of your kitchen garbage can, does the bag get stuck in the can? This happens to me all the time, I am wondering if its just me. (I know I over-stuff it, but who doesn't?). I have asked this question before and people have responded with advice on not over stuffing the can. uuhh Duhhhh. The question is does this happen to you too? I need to know if I am alone in this over stuffing situation.
I over stuff all the time but do not often have my bag stick. I use a large rubbermaid trash can and it seems to slide out quite easy. Also make sure you are using big enough bags.
